Howick Photographic Society
Howick Photographic Society has been in existence for more than 60 years, and is affiliated to the Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ). We are a group of enthusiasts sharing a common interest in the art of photography. We have members at all stages of photography, from absolute beginners to professionals. The more experienced members love helping our less experienced members understand and further improve their photography. Our Society has several experienced PSNZ Panel Judges, plus others who consistently judge for other clubs.
We meet every Monday (excluding the 2nd Monday of each month) from February to November and the 1st Monday of December. We also provide a Zoom option for each meeting for those who cannot make it along to the clubroom. Focus Groups, which are training sessions, are also offered once a month for each grade. Field trips and outings are regular events too.
Should you wish to join, then the first three sessions, either at the club or on Zoom, are complimentary.

The Howick Photographic Society, in conjunction with the Auckland Festival of Photography, held an Exhibition at Uxbridge Arts & Culture in Howick, showcasing a selection of images by its members. Visitor numbers exceeded expectations. Thank you to all members who participated. The People's Choice was - 1st Fantail by Deb Owen, 2nd A Fresh Dusting by Sheryl Williams APSNZ and 3rd Sunrise In Wanaka by Shona Kebble FPSNZ. It was a highly successful event and it is hoped more exhibitions will take place in the near future. We would like to say a huge thank you to our sponors - Progear, NZ Photography Workshops, Marie Raos from Ray White, 3M, Super Liquor and Print Art. The prints that were exhibited are in the slide show below.
